Ranchezca (Chez) first began practicing Pilates in 2002 while working towards her Kinesiology degree. She has always loved fitness, sports, and dance. Balancing a demanding schedule working a corporate job, raising her two children, and performing in breakdance competitions eventually wore her down. While dancing, Chez tore her achilles tendon. After enduring such a major injury and long rehabilitation, she found Pilates again. Rediscovering the importance of mindful movement and the therapeutic power of Pilates inspired Chez to leave her corporate job to teach Pilates. She received her training under Tom McCook of Center and Balance and continues to deepen her knowledge of the Pilates method by attending workshops and trainings. Chez is passionate about spreading the wisdom of Pilates.
